One day there were three bags of Werther Caramels, in three flavors. There were Chewy Caramels. There were Creamy Caramel Filled Hard Candies. And there were Caramel Chocolates. The kids and I opened the box and couldn't resist opening the bags and giving each flavor a try. We discussed favorites (I preferred the chewy, my son loved the chocolate) and then my adult daughter happened to stop by. She wanted to try every kind as well. A few times. I managed to save about half a bag each.That night, my husband happened on the box. We gave them a try once again (how am I supposed to watch people eat caramel and not join in?!). The box sat on my dresser. Every night, for the next several nights, we'd reach in and grab a couple. I had every intention of bringing these to share with my friends one Friday night but suddenly, inexplicably, they disappeared.
I'm still not sure how it happened.
The box was there, with the three bags, but they were empty. Poof. The caramels had disappeared. I guess they proved irresistible.
Good thing I have a coupon in my Bzz kit. I'm thinking I'll need to use that myself to grab a bag to share with friends. If they're still my friends after reading this. The caramel, it is my undoing. The Werther's Caramel, much too delicious to resist. One taste, and you'll understand!
