Rebecca St. James "I Will Praise You" CD & Giveaway

I've been a Rebecca St. James fan since her God album of 1996.  The following year we attended her Christmas album concert with our youth group (my husband was a youth pastor at the time).  We own the DVD for Hero: The Rock Opera, in which she plays Maggie.  As you can imagine, I was excited about the opportunity of reviewing her newest album in over five years.

I Will Praise You is a little different than her previous work.  It is much more mellow and introspective.  Honestly, I miss the edge she can bring, as her tone of voice works well with a more upbeat melody.  However, I know this will appeal to many who enjoy a quieter, though contemporary reflection of praise.  There were a couple of highlights for me.  I really enjoyed You Never Let Go and You Make Everything Beautiful.  This will be a CD I pull out when I need to calm my soul.
