I've seen many of my bloggy friends participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook and thought I may join in today. So here goes nothin'!
I am thinking: Maybe I am too social? I'm exhausted and my To-Do list is too long and my plans for this blog never seem to come to fruition because even when I have time to write posts, I am too brain dead to think straight! But then again, I love my crazy life, crazy family, and crazy friends. If only I could figure out how to get it all done...whine, whine, whine.
I am thankful: That there is too much to do and that I have so many interests and that life is full. I'm thankful for a husband who still thinks I'm cute 21 years later (crazy man) and kids who love their family and friends who are as weird as we are and coffee.
From the learning rooms: We're enjoying The Horse and His Boy for our Narnia study, loving Institute for Excellence in Writing so far (despite its structure. I'm not usually a fan of so much structure), and reading aloud The Princess Bride. I'm looking forward to receiving Apologia's Who Is God? study for review and using it for our Bible time together.
From the kitchen: Meals. Cooking. The bane of my existence. I so wish I enjoyed cooking but it's just a chore to me. I do have two beef roasts defrosting for dinner though, so I feel a step ahead of the game today! I need to start that Menu Plan Monday again.
I am wearing: Aw man, I was supposed to be wearing my leather corset (need to "break it in" before the steampunk convention) but I need help with it and my husband wasn't around this morning. That would have been so much fun to write in this space! Now it's just boring old jeans, tan blouse, and my Browncoat sweatshirt. Oh, and fuzzy blue and purple striped socks. There you have it.
I am creating: Steampunk costumes. This will give me blog fodder in the future, but for now it's yet another thing keeping me from posting! I should be creating insightful, thoughtful blog posts (hahahaha!) or working on my NaNo novel but no...I am obsessing over gadgets and gears.
I am going: To sleep? Haha, I wish. I am not planning to go anywhere today, except possibly the church office to work on Women's Bible Study stuff. Yay for a day at home!
I am reading: The Rhythm of Secrets (review later this week). Just finished Pride & Prejudice and liked it more than expected. I'm not a huge fan of romance and I tend to prefer contemporary or futuristic settings, but the dialogue was fun. Also reading with the kids (see above) and starting The Bible in 90 Days on Friday.
I am hoping & praying: Praying for great friends to find work which will enable them to stay here, and soon. Praying for a renewed love for God and a strong sense of his presence in my life. Praying for our upcoming study group. Praying for my kids, especially as they become adults and find their own way in life.
I am hearing: The kids chatter as they work on IEW (olders are helping youngest).
Around the house: I'm trying to get used to the clutter and craziness. You'd think I would have by now, but it still makes me cranky.
One of my favorite things: My fuzzy green throw blanket that the two youngest girls gave me for Christmas. It's perfect for a day like today! And it's my favorite color. Ooo, and I am in love with my Nook. Wasn't sure I'd like it. I love it.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Tomorrow is re-red the head day, fighting those grays I'm not ready to accept. Preparing for our Women's Bible Study to begin on Friday, looking forward to the gathering of our wagon train once again. I've missed it over our holiday break!

Was happy to see you tried out this Meme... its one of the few I've stuck to over the last few years!
Hope you get more blogging done, I know how you feel though. I'm quite behind myself. :)
