See-N-Read provides reading tools designed to "make reading faster and easier". Currently there are three products available: See-N-Read, Memory Mark, and eSee-N-Read. See-N-Read is a piece of non-glare plastic with a clear reading window. This allows the reader to focus on the current sentence without distraction. The Memory Mark is similar to See-N-Read, but the reading window is cut out, enabling the reader to make notes, highlights, etc. The eSee-N-Read is a reading tool for PC's and provides the same reading window for your computer!When these arrived in the mail, I thought they were a great idea for children learning to read. As all of my children are now fluent readers, I didn't think they would be a good fit for my family. While this was true for the eSee-N-Read (even the idea makes me crazy), I was wrong about the physical products. My two youngest children (ages 8 and 10) love both the See-N-Read and the Memory Mark. We have been taking turns reading the Bible aloud in the mornings and they like to use these to help them keep their place while it's their turn to read. My youngest especially likes them and said, "They make it easier!".
If you have a beginning reader, or a child who could use help tracking as he reads, this company may be a great (and inexpensive!) solution for you. The See-N-Read and Memory Mark tools come in various sizes and amounts and range in price from $2.99- $69.99. The eSee-N-Read is available for $29.99.
